Víctor Janeiro targets Belén Esteban on Supervivientes

According to Lecturas, which reported his remarks in late September 2026, Víctor Janeiro told "Supervivientes All Stars 3" on Telecinco that Belén Esteban owes her place on television to his brother, the bullfighter Jesulín de Ubrique. His words, as Lecturas quotes them: "Se colocó en la tele gracias a mi hermano. Ha estado 20 años generando dinero, tiene que ser millonaria, seguro." Keep in mind that both the "20 years" and the claim that she is a millionaire are his own words, not figures anyone has checked: none of the outlets reviewed here gives an amount for her earnings. Lecturas adds that, in his view, she used her past relationship with Jesulín to make her way into TV once it was over.

El Confidencial, on 29 September, points out an important detail: Belén Esteban isn't actually on the show. The outlet says Víctor Janeiro and Rosa Benito both lined up against her anyway. Mediaset Infinity says Rosa Benito took Jesulín's side, as well as that of his wife, María José Campanario. We couldn't read El Confidencial's article directly, though, so Rosa Benito's exact words haven't been confirmed.

elDiario.es covered the 30 September broadcast and adds the most on-set detail. It notes that Asraf was the only contestant saved from nomination, while Arkano, Ivana and Yulen stay on the list. Yet it was the absent Belén Esteban who dominated the evening, with Rosa Benito, Víctor Janeiro and Chayo Mohedano all talking about her. The paper describes Janeiro breaking down on the show's "puente de las emociones", saying she had taken "the easy road" of attacking his family and had made money at his brother's expense. elDiario.es also reports a tense moment with host Jorge Javier Vázquez. When Beatriz Trapote, Janeiro's wife, declined to comment on the subject, he snapped "No soy un cualquiera, ¡soy Jorge Javier Vázquez", and defended pressing the point by comparing it to discussing the housing crisis. According to his Spanish Wikipedia biography, Janeiro was born in Ubrique (Cádiz) in 1979 and has been married to the journalist since 2013.

So why is his name trending now? Timing matters. Hola and El Diario both report that Belén Esteban came back to Telecinco on 25 September 2026 for a high-profile interview on "¡De viernes!", hosted by Santi Acosta and Beatriz Archidona. It was her first appearance since "Sálvame" ended three years ago. Whether that return means she'll be joining "Supervivientes All Stars" later isn't clear: the sources we reviewed describe it as a one-off interview, not a regular role.
